New amp projects

Bluetone Tweed King

Tweed King 4x6V6GT  development project main goal is to create a guitar amp with Fender Tweed Deluxe 5E3 legendary sound palette and bigger output power with more headroom without altering original sound too much. This amp will also contain some innovative Bluetone modifications.

Many players like to have some kind of reverb effect in their Tweed Deluxe. That is why Bluetone Tweed King has a buffered tube effect loop with send level and true bypass switch. Effect loop can be also used as a Boost effect when there are no effects connected.

Original Tweed Deluxe have a smallish output power (13-15 W), which is a problem to guitarists and bands which like to play their music loud. Tweed Deluxe can be equipped with 2x6L6GC power tubes, but they change the original sound too much. Instead Tweed King has 4x6V6GT power tubes, which produce some 30 W maximum output power and maintain the original sound.

To control output power without altering sound too much, there is also an innovative Bluetone half power switch and dynamic output power control VVR to give all sound and distortion variations from bedroom level to full power.

The first Tweed King will be a combo model with 2×10″ Tayden Smooth Alnico speakers. First amp should be ready by the end of this spring.

Bluetone Champ 5F1

It is not a matter of creating a totally new amp, but to improve  Fender Champ so that amp is more user friendly and versatile. Main goals are to build one combo version with a 1×10″ Alnico speaker, add a Boost switch to create some preamp distortion, add a switch to negative feedback loop to alter amp sound to more “raw” direction, add a dynamic power scale VVR to get power amp distortion also in bedroom levels.

This development project will be postponed to a later time period.
