Bluetone Bassman
The most important factor with bass amps is that they can produce clean bass guitar sound transparently without coloration and with remarkable power compared to guitar amps. Bluetone Bassman head configuration is based completely on full tube techology. It`s preamp section has 12AX7-tubes and power amp section four 6L6GC-tubes. These four power tubes produce some 100-130 W clean power. Power amp configuration is so called “Ultra Linear” without separate negative feedback loop. This amp has a PPIMV (Post Phase Inverter Master Volume) which is the best way to get benefit also of PI distortion if needed.
The cabinet of this amp is Acajou Mahogany wood which has been coated several times with oil and sanded. I make these bass heads also with different tolex coverings (black, white, snake skin etc.) or other excotic wood like nyatoh.
