Bluetone AcDc Head is a true 2-channel tube amp which is based on Marshall Plexi/1987 and Marshall JCM800/2204 world. It includes a footswitch for preamp channel switching. When planning this amp, the main goal was to integrate the most legendary Marshall world sounds to one single amp.

 

Plexi channel has Normal and Bright input channels with individual Volume controls and a common tonestack (Treble, Middle, Bass). Input channels have an internal connection, thus no outside jumper cable is needed to use both channels parallel. Normal channel low register has been improved compared to original and Bright channel has a little thicker sound than original plexi. This channel has not an own Master Volume.

 

Crunch-channel has Gain, Teble, Middle, Bass and Master pots which allow to dial a wide palette of different sounds from semiclean to fully distorted lead sounds. This channel has also some Bluetone modifications in it.

 

Powerstage accepts all normal octal power tubes like 6V6GT, EL34, 6L6GC etc. Anyhow tubes have to be rebiased when changing them. Output power with a pair of EL34 tubes is 50-60 W. Amp also includes PPIMV (Post Phase Inverter Master Volume) which allows to get all benefit of power stage distortion and VVR (Dynamic output power scale), which allows to dial output power from full to bed room level.

 

This amp has also an integrated buffered tube effect loop with a adjustable send level. It can be connected on and off with a remote footswitch.
